Curious - Does anyone have an animation of how the SP1 anti-chop bolt works?

One of my friends just bought one and him & another friend were playing around with it daring each other to put a finger in the breech and fire it.
Luckily they chickened out and settled on using a carrot, the end of which was chopped off and fired out the barrel.

I'm curious now to see how this thing is supposed to work.

Edit:
On a related note: Where have I seen a video like these before? YouTube - SP-1 and Vibe Tongue Demo

I don't know but I find the carrot anecdote interesting. I wouldn't think that a gun based on the ion platform would even be able to do that. I know I like to screw with the kiddies at the field with the finger down the feedneck bit. I've yet to see any gun, even cheap blowbacks, that would do actual harm- maybe pinch but not actually hurt.

You may want to ask over on the Tinkering Tech forum. There are a few guys over there that work intimately with ion internals and have expressed interest in the SP-1 and Vibe.

I wouldn't want to put my finger down the feed neck of a mag w/the level 7 bolt & I've heard the Invert Mini has quite a bit of force behind the bolt.

Oh that's funny because I was just about to post- it doesn't.
Work, that is.
Someone needs to get a mag with a level 10.
And looking at the SP-1 manual makes my head hurt.
All it says for anti chop system is "low pressure bolt"
Huh?

Mini's only hurt if your fingers forward in the breech and the bolt gets moving before it hits you. If your finger is back against the bolt (doesn't need to be pushing) it pushes against your finger pretty good but nothing really happens. Very similiar to an Ion, my cocker, or most blowbacks. Now nice high-end guns like my Cyborg just "chuff" and the bolt hardly tries to move.

This is the response I got from Sean after asking him on PBnation:

"Very simple. The solenoid can only exhaust so quick. Which is slower than the ION. And it makes the bolt cycle slightly slower as well. That is how it does it. With a QEV, you can make it cycle faster with an aftermarket board, but you will lose the benefit."

So basically it's no more anti-chop than a regular ion. It's just slightly less likely to pinch the ball in the first place because it cycles slightly slower. Lame marketing BS.

I don't know, he stuck his tongue the breach in one video. No matter how they achieve it, it does work.

Was the carrot frozen in liquid nitrogen by any chance? I guess it would shatter then..
