If your just going for looks sure why not, as long as you like it otherwise just pick up an Ion since the SP-8 is just a body kit for an Ion. If your wanting to go mil-sim like there are two new markers coming out that will probably be much nicer than the SP-8. Bob Long and BT are both producing high end electo slinging machines.

I wouldn't suggest it. They are very plastic-y, very hollow feeling and large. Also, the feednecks have a tendency to pop off.

I've had one since they came out and I've never had a problem with it. These days they can be had cheap, and they accept almost all regular Ion upgrades. The new Bob Long and BT markers will be excellent, I imagine, but the SP8 was there first and will be less expensive. If you don't like Ions, skip it. Otherwise, it's worth at least borrowing one to try it for a game or two.

I think they are neat except for the feedneck. You have to use an elbow so your hopper flails around alot. YOu can do a mod tho for a center breech feedneck. If you do this they are nice.

Send a message via MSN to Frontier_Bill
If you are interested, I have one with minimal use I would be willing to sell.
