| If your just going for looks sure why not, as long as you like it otherwise just pick up an Ion since the SP-8 is just a body kit for an Ion. If your wanting to go mil-sim like there are two new markers coming out that will probably be much nicer than the SP-8. Bob Long and BT are both producing high end electo slinging machines.

| I've had one since they came out and I've never had a problem with it. These days they can be had cheap, and they accept almost all regular Ion upgrades. The new Bob Long and BT markers will be excellent, I imagine, but the SP8 was there first and will be less expensive. If you don't like Ions, skip it. Otherwise, it's worth at least borrowing one to try it for a game or two.
