SP-8 feeding problems

Well I am about to obtain an SP-8. It's been having feed problems.
The balls seem to get stuck between the feed neck and the breech or (getting into the breech from the feedneck).
I was around to fool with this a while before the owner decided to get rid of it. I could not align it so that this wouldn't happen.
The owner kept saying he was going to send it to SP to get it fixed but never did (many moons later).
the warranty says it's non-transferable. so I assume that once I have it I can't send it in. Also, it may be out of warranty by now anyhow. (how long is the warranty ?)

My solutions I've thought to try:

1.I have been thinking of trying to mount a BE Talon body "clam shelled" to replace the SP-8 body, still able to accept sp-8 barrels. maybe moddified with a vertical feed aswell. if the internals are too wide I may slice another talon (meat slicer style) to use as a spacer.

2.light filing followed by heavy filing.

3.buy a ion body kit.

4.buy a new main breech/(main internal body?) whatever it is called.

5.Spit on it and tell it, "your evil, your a dirty marker, and I'm gonna let the dog chew on you till you straighten up.". then leave it on the floor let the dog chew on it and hope he chews the right spot.

any help is appreciated.

The "older" SP-8's had a problem with the feedneck having a restriction, call Smart Parts. I know there is a Dremel fix, but I don't know the particulars of it.

On the older feed necks there was a jam point right where the neck oped up to drop in the chamber. A little sanding with a dremel will clear it up.
But, you can get a new feedneck from sp, or we carry parts for the sp-8 also at www.usmilitarygear.com, that will definately solve the problem.
If you want to try to DIY I got pics I can send you, a before and after.

There has been talk of a mod to make it center feed, But I like being able to look over the top of the gun again, and it really helps my old eyes out.

PM me if you ever need help with it, If I don't have the answer i'll get it real quick.

I bought a new feedneck from USMG, but you can fix it with a dremel.
