The longer eye wire is a nice addition but not really necessary. It will keep you from tearing the wires out of the sockets though... Click the following link: Gasket washer...allows you to seal the QEV without using locktite or teflon tape. As far as macroline...well, I can't answer that but it's always good to have a spare foot (or so) of it in case it ruptures. If you use say...6" of it now...a new piece gives you 2 replacement pieces. I always have a few extra feet along just in case but that's me... EDITED....removed info on the boards/membrane pads and such...forgot you are staying stock for now...

What problems could the SP360 QEV cause that should I look out for?

And to be quite honest, I'm highly suprised you got your Ion to work at such a low dwell with the 360. The average dwell that I've seen with a 360 is around 25ms or so. If it's working for you, leave it go. Just make sure you keep it clean (it acts as a grease trap) and you should be ok.

Well, I fooled around with it some more and got the ion to fully cycle at 7. I added 15 to that and set it at 22 (Warpig ion timing guide's recommendation). Pressure is about 140psi, giving me velocities of 270 +/-10 (260-280). I don't know if that is good or not... we'll see.

ION Dwell stuff on the Nation This site seems helpful, too Used my ion on the field today for the first time, in a clinic run by X-factor (the NXL team). The ion seemed to work ok with 22 dwell 140-150psi = 270-280 FPs, although I was using the lowest quality paint evah. The stock barrel actually seems to be pretty good.

| Active Member | sdawg...the reason your velocity is spiking +/- 10 fps is because the dwell is too low. Increase it to 30 ms and shoot it about 15 times...and then rechrono. Adjust for your fps only at the reg. I'll bet that your consistancy will increase to about +/- 2-3fps once you adjust it as I say. Remember...the absolute lowest dwell doesn't make the most efficient marker. Dwell is meant to fine tune it, yes...but not to the point at which you starve your marker for air...and that's what's happening right now. Dwell=recharge. You need to allow the marker to recharge so it operates properly and in this case, it's the inconsistant chrono speed.

On the stock board, the dwell is set 0.5 ms per blink. The bottom is 8 ms. That means that I should have the dwell set at 44 blinks (8 ms + 0.5x44). If the stock setting is 52 blinks (34ms), the QEV only lowers my dwell 4ms? Last edited by sdawg; 01-22-2007 at 09:46 AM. Reason: My math was way off... durrrrhhh
