Yeah, it'll be much less of a hassle to just buy the new 360. I'll be on the lookout for those yearly cards. It sucks that the xbox fries two weeks after I buy AC brotherhood lol.

When my first 360 died, I bought one of those "Arcade" versions that was basically a stripped down 360. I used my cords and HDD from my original.

Yeah, I have a 20 gb memory so switching to the new 4gb will be annoying. I could buy another white one and save me ~$50 and not have to worry about memory, but I'm just afraid that one'll fry again.

Don't waste money on the "Arcade" boxes. They suck, especially if you get one of the early ones. Get a newer 360 elite or go for the new version. The HDD is still switchable.

This. Get the 4gig new model and not worry about the machine giving itself a meltdown. Putting in the HDD is a piece of cake and then you'll still have the 4gigs as a bonus.

I thought the HDD's from the newer and older machines weren't compatible?

Oh I see, you just need to take apart the older harddrive out of the shell and just plug it into the port in the newer one. I just sold my Pyre too, so I should be looking into buying the 4gb soon

They're cool man. One of my buddies has one. No button on the front anymore it's touch sensitive. Also the wireless adapter is built in (wireless N IIRC, I think the PS is still G).
