I just passed on a 77/22 at the auction the other night Josh, iirc it went for around $140-160.
Pat, if you're going to carry just remember it's a huge responsibility and takes a certain mindset and level commitment. Don't do it half way, go all in or save your money. The gun left at home won't do you any good. If you do plan to carry, train hard and train often.
Don't just shoot static paper, look into some of the competitive leagues. Find a range that will allow you to shoot from dynamic positions like for example prone from your back. It may not seem like a big deal, but once you've tried it you realize how much skill it takes.
It truly does take a special person to carry daily and do it properly. It changes the way you exercise risk management completely. It's not a fad, it's a lifestyle.
