Springfield has good customer service. And you can't shoot the hell out of it. You're not going to wear the gun out. It was designed by the master 100 years ago and very little has changed. That should tell you how reliable it is. Trust me when I say again, You CAN NOT shoot it the hell out of it. They have R&D Departments that do nothing but shoot the hell out of these and it takes them a LONG time.

hmm, thank you, Josh. It is comforting to hear that... Now onto my walther. I am also thinking of maybe getting a full sized bersa to practice with instead of my walther because the walther is a pain to shoot after a while, but I would trust it CC over the bersa. So I am thinking of getting the full sized bersa for practice/plinking in .380 over the walther. And I have become surgical with my walther at well over 15 yards.

Yes, I can't believe I forgot to mention magazines. WC magazines are just about the best you can get for the 1911. Buy some. Quote:

Pat, any idea which side Trigger Happy is going to be playing for? Can we just sign up under the team and automatically be put on the same side?

| Facta Non Verba | Just remember springs are considered to be a consumable item. They are intended to be replaced at regular service intervals as part of maintenance. Not a big deal at all and they're readily available. Quote:

thank you, Deuce. You know, I am thinking about selling the walther to get the RIA 1911 compact and using that to carry on me occasionally. I wouldn't carry all the time, however, the nights I do carry it (depending where I go in miami) I will carry inside the waist. But for the most part when I go out, I will just keep it in the glove compartment so I don't have to conceal carry it all the time. I want to sell the walther because I dislike the fixed barrel design, and I love how the 1911 is so customizable. And out of the hundreds upon hundreds of reviews I read about the Rock Island 1911s, I have only read a few bad reviews. And of course, just like with my full sized springer, I will get wilson springs, firing pin, wilson guide rod it, and a chip mccormick mag and keep the stock mag as a back up, and get some hogue grips for it. With all the upgrades though, I will be in close to 560... for the price, should I just pick up a sig p238 instead for conceal carry? Those are the only two I am looking at.
