Yes Third Eye is still kicking. Phish is moving to Cali though.

IDK personally I'd want a mag over a cocker any day just since it's way closer to today's standards. However cockers shoot smooth + no kick even on a light one. Also, loukyballer can you get me pics of the phantom you had for sale. Can it be SC'd (as in could I pay more for parts and stock class gear that you may have)?

i just saw that phantom it's an open class body so I believe you'd need a different body to make it stock class

I'll bring the phantom out Saturday and you can look at it directly.
Yes, you'll need a different body to make it SC, but I believe they are relatively cheap from CCI.

Here's a link for it
CCI Phantom - Gloss Black

Ah the old mag vs cocker debate. having shot both for years, they are both exceptional guns. as for the mag being closer to todays standards - not really. they are both quite old and dated compared to the modern electro. Nothing new has come out for mags in YEARS but the cocker is still being produced in various forms. Plus many of the paintball guns out there today trace their roots back to the original poppet design of the cocker.
Cockers got a really bad rap because they are notoriously unforgiving when you start mucking around with them "to make them faster". You have to have a very solid understanding of the mechanics of the gun or you will surely fail. And most people do not really understand them - hence they get it all out of time, becomes a blender, chopps paint, etc. But when they are finely tuned, they are a pure delight to shoot. Something about that back block snapping back and forth (although watch for lense bite!) lol

Phish is moving? That sucks for the louisville area - we're losing a good guy!
heh... "Fish & Chips" from the early Asylum days. What fun!

I've been shooting a cocker for a while. I think they're great. Yeah, you can mess them up if you just start messing with stuff, there's no factory reset on mechs! But man, I've never had a gun shoot straighter than my Autococker. I know people have tested it and have shown that it doesn't shoot any further than any other gun, but there's something about it where I just feel like I get more usable distance out of one.

Thought you had a sniper pump? Anyway I have a Metadyne Thumper on the way you will have to test drive.

I think Spot was the one looking to start up early. Give Kenny a call and see if he is planning it this friday.

Myself, I won't be at OBF (One-Ball Fridays) until its much colder. Woods is my thang & will be there until I freeze my little paintballs off.

Keep watching this space or the KY Pump thread (it's pretty deep now, but will soon rise back to the top as pump season ramps up).
