some folks had to leave early and after the raffle folks started packing up.. Shop boy won an SB in the raffle and played the last game of the day with it. Unfortunately that game one of the refs stuck a bunch of young rental kids in the fort and set a bunch of Mil-sim Wannabe's (complete with earbud microphones) against them. Shop-boy and I were on the kiddies team and got called for attempting to leave the fort?! (Of course the ref never bothered to EXPLAIN the rules BEFORE the game. He was like "Same rules as last game" and I was saying "how am I supposed to know the rules? I didn't play last game!" Evidently it was supposed to be 'slaughter time' for the mil-sim types against little kids. Way unfairly stacked odds. Needless to say we were over-balled. probably turned a couple of kids off of the game for good. Other than that last game, (we packed up and left after that). Had a really fun day and look forward to the next time.

What I thought sucked other than no group photo was that the field had ran out of co2! 8 or 10 bottles they had there, all empty. They knew we were coming, yet failed to have that ready. The refs IMO were terrible and I agree with Dave. Amber got lit up, has her marker in the air, yelling she's out and as she's standing up, she was still getting shot at and hit (10-12ish yr old "ref" 6-7 feet away). I had to stand up while yelling SHES OUT mind you and I took the rest of the barrage. We had what two refs per game? One on each end of the field. Yeah, that didn't work. The rental kids kept coming up to the air booth asking if someone could ref their game. It was a pleasure meeting you dave, J and shopboy. Along with everyone else.

And it seems that most fields either have too few refs or the refs are too young to manage the groups. I was across the field when I heard you yell that she was out but I have no idea who was targeting her... Same thing happened to me at one point. I was walking out with my barrel covered and both arms up in the air doing the dead man walk and got targeted. I guess thats the only way some folks can manage to hit anything ![]() I was also hit with some rounds from a hot gun. Last game of the day I was hit while on top of the fort from across the field, and it left a serious mark with broken skin. (From one of the mil-sim guys that showed up late in the day, I'm pretty sure they were not part of the MCB/SCP group) For comparison I took a hit in the woods from Cleric from about 15 or 20 feet that didn't hurt nearly as much.

Hot shooting was a big thing. I heard someone yell to a ref to check him hes shooting hot while Ninja Dave and I were in the woods crawling around, I believe that's the game that you are referring to. It was someone with an electro in front who got Amber and I, no clue who. Now I understand how fast some of those markers shoot, however once you're clearly out don't keep rocking the trigger. Honestly, I don't recall seeing a single milsim guy chrono towards the end of the day. Not saying they didn't but while I was up at the air booth helping the refs try and take the cross threaded top cover of a tank off, I saw some more show up and go right to the field. When I showed up around 9am and went to go pay, they had form 13, and some prem. Selection was dismal. I can see their point that a pump group is coming and they won't shoot that much however not everyone had a pump and having a paint selection would have been nice. I didn't even see their white box special. I gave the tech my Z1 because it needed a new cup seal, I doubted they had one, but I figured what the hell why not. Dropped it off & after a bit I came back, fee was $6, (for an oring I thought, wow) but a little labor I understood and he told me he had replaced all the orings and cleaned her up real nice. So I payed him, took it over and aired her up, nothing, didn't fire and leaked again, plus one of my trigger frame screws was missing. I go back to him, ask him the obvious question of why isn't this working. He tries it out, same result. He then tells me that he reseated the oring, never replacing it oh and the frame screw wasn't there when he got it according to him. This brought me back to a time when that old Jewish man who said there's an *** for every seat also said this: Don't ever bull**** a bull****ter. I did end up getting my money back on the "repair".

Just to be clear I did have a good time and don't have a problem with CFP. I had a good time meeting and playing with the folks on the forums and like playing the field. They just seem to have the same types of problems as most other fields in that the quality of the Refs supervision later in the day seems to wane. Don't understand running out of Co2 or paint grades however. ![]() As far as the unchrono'ed guns on field.....That's partly the fault of the refs but mostly a poor sportsman like attitude on the part of some players who probably couldn't succeed with a level playing field. Late in the day I visited the chrono several times to dial in a couple of guns that I had been working on to get them slowed down below 300 but they weren't even played with this Saturday.

Congrats Frank A very fun day to be had to with everyone who made it there. For no matter how long, hint hint NinjaDave. We missed you after you left Frank, because it was a fun day. To all the others who made it out.......it was great to see you there and hope that even though there was some problems that you had a good time. Thanks to Titus and Frank for the raffle. Congrats to the winners. As far as the complaints go.....I know that both Lee and Mike felt that they were hit by a hot shot. I keep my markers chronoed around 265fps to get all the shots I can out of my 12gram so they are a little on the lighter side when the hit as well. Seemed as though we had a little more on the side of some loose play then we normally do when we get together. Seemed to be some overshooting as well out there. As far as the refs go.....this is the normal feeling that I get when I play at fields with that age and amount of refs. You need players out there who are going to be high on the sportmanship scale to keep things really fun. If you noticed in some of the earlier games WE, the players, made sure to lay down the ground rules of how and what we are playing. To easy for things to get confusing out there. Overall a fun day that was lacking a little bit from the meet before. Overall we just have to take the last event and use it to make the next one even better. It is nice to get a few games in on the airball fields as well. Really had a great time seeing and meeting everyone. Looking forward to the spring to see everyone again. Keep your ears open for something coming in Feb.
