the refs were terrible. How old was he ?12? I know I'm just one year ahead of him but I ussually prefer >20 year old refs, paint checks were non-existant.

that guy with the Etek, that was completely uncalled for, really pissed me off. He could tone it down just a bit. I have a crap ton of welts on my back from his barage.I know it's part of the game, we're going there to have a good time. I saw a good number of people get over shot by him too. I too never saw the milsim guys with head sets(lol) chrono.

The owners of the field are also complete jerks. not even a "hello" or a "how's it going". they just kinda stare at you at disgust. If you want to run a business, atleast show some ettiquite to your costumers.

Well at least I'm not the only one who got a chuckle at the headsets and felt the Mil-Simmers were running hot.

P.S. Again I forgot to bring a camera. Anyone post any pictures yet?

Apologies for not being around for the remainder of the day guys, but I am happy to hear that it went well for the most part.
CFP has had mostly ineffective refs for about as long as I can remember, as Cleric noted, much of our game is based on sportsmanship and honesty.
I too was surprised at the paint situation going on there, but as I am unaware of the financial situation of CFP, it would be difficult for me to comment further.

Is this the perfect field? No. But I have had some really good times playing paintball there, and plan to do so again in the future.
To me its not about the too-young refs or shady players of questionable integrity, or even a FPO field with startlingly narrow selections of paint,
but getting out with a bunch of cool people that rarely come together in the same place and having a good time.

I heard some mention of another day in February, so stay tuned.

Be thankful you have a field locally where people still play. We have nothing big around here.

I had a great time this weekend. Was so excited to win the SB, showed the wife when I got home, had to explain why I would be so happy to win a paintball marker thats 20+ years old. I can not wait to do this again in the spring. Hopefully the field will be more prepared for a crowd (and we will have one). Agian thanks to all the people that put this together and thanks for the raffle.

Frank: congrats to you and Audrey. best wishes!

I did take two shots that i felt were hot and asked the guy (milsim fella) to chrono after he left the field. i didn't watch him directly, but did see him go to the chrono, heard him fire several times and no beep so i let it go. neither of the shots i took broke and one was in the neck so i am going to atrribute it to my tender skin and to the fact that paint that doesn't break just hurts more and he was probably using cheap stuff.

i had a great time as usual. another great day at cfp as far as i'm concerned. it was excellent to see my buddies and meet some new ones.

i heart you people.

Locally? it's 30 minutes a way. CFP is 50. the closest field to me is 15 minutes but all the poeple there are douches. I would love to play at a field with people just like you guys.

Atleast at the electro field ,they know when you're out and will stop shooting accordingly and still have a fun conversation about the game. Unlike some of the electro guys That played. Anyways, Still a really fun day. held a nasty, finally shot a Nelson after my >6 month streak. Conversed with alot of cool guys and saw some pretty unique markers.

Extremely harsh. Apparently you've never met the Smith's. These guys are two of the nicest people in paintball, if not in the state of Florida. And Mark is extremely nice. They aren't the "hold your hands" kind of owners, but maybe that's what some people need?

Mark did tell me he was frustrated about the paint. They are having a tournament this upcoming weekend and apparently got the dates wrong for their replacement shipment of paint.

It's a shame people got over-shot, we didn't have an enormous paint selection and they ran out of CO2, but all in all it's what you make of it. Did we get to enjoy awesome weather, awesome company, play some paintball, BS and even throw a few dollars up to a charity? I'd like to answer "yes" to all those questions. Maybe I'm just easily pleased.

And congrats Frank!

Well I know that anyday of playing ball will the crew that we played with on Saturday is a good day to me. Not really sure about the paint selection as I had some left from the last time I played there.

Since CFP has always been more than happy to accept us, low paint using pumpers for the most part, I have no complaints about the owners and the field in general.

As I stated before the biggest thing seems to be proactive, and that does not matter what field I am playing at, to make sure that all the players know what the rules are for the game at hand.

I think that I was lucky enough not to be on the receiving end of Pat's marker this meet. Though NinjaDave placed a beautiful shot on me that he shot from outside the fort, through it, and then tagged me in the back corner of the field. WHAT A SHOT

Again good times with you all!
