Post Carter's Commando Charlie Company

Copied from other thread (which now has been deleted) as this fits this region better.

Decided that we needed a thread for Colorado and the C4 (Carter's Commando Charlie Comapny) Most of us are located in Colorado but the C4 is open to anyone in the southwest area who shares those same old school values, reguardless of type of play you prefer. We have (or we try to anyways) an anual game, the first was in March of 2005. The 2006 game was not held, 2007 game location and date have not been settled on yet. We are looking for a "home feild" or game. There has been talk of attending the Aliens game in Utah, and possibly making that our big game every year if all works out.

Most of the C4 is located on the front range (eastern side of Colorado in greater Denver and surrounding cities) but Myself and paintballman are on the western slope (Grand Junction). I cant speak for the rest of the guys but paintballman and I (along with our regualr group) have games almost every other saturday durring the warmer months. Our games range from the woods outside of palisade, to the trench games in the desert, to speedball at Xplode in Montrose and a few local Tournaments. So If your in the area and want to have an outstanding time playing paintball, contact me or one of the other C4 members as we always know the best places to play and the best people to play with.

Alvin

I wouldn't mind joining up with some other oldschoolers in the southwest for Aliens; I go every year it would be cool to have the hawaiian shirt brigade present.

Located just south of Logan Utah in Millville is an abandon gravel pit along the Blacksmith fork river. The 40 acre field has every type terrain, from trees and brush to sandy hills and old farm implements. The large hill in the middle of the field is always hot with defenders on top and attackers on three sides. The flat treed areas of the lowlands are contested all day with hundreds of players vieing for control of the 5 flag stations

Scenario
The scenario is based on the universe of the 1986 movie Aliens. The premise is simple the research ship Centari Elizabeth has crash landed on Planet LV-529. The Colonial Space Marines have responded to the crash signal and have sent the nearest ship the USS Gallant Mary to conduct a rescue and salvage mission, after all finders keepers out in the cold of space.

The Mega-Corporation Weiland Yutani has dispatched thier fastest corvette the Stilletto Executer and a crew of bio-weapons mercenaries to salvage the wreckage from the hands of the greedy government and prevent the Marines from stealing any expensive Xeno-Weapons technology.

There has been mention of doing the Aliens game as the annual game. I always wanted to find something a bit more central to the group than Colorado.

In case anyone's interested there is a game being hosted by the Colorado Paintball Club in Sept.

Border Wars

I'm not sure if I'll be able to play in either game at this point. I've been dealing with allergies and asthma for the past couple of months, as well as 'participating' in the recent IBM work force reduction.

I don't anticipate being out of work long. I've had a number of interviews with more scheduled. Regardless of whether or not I'm able to play in the Border Wars game, I'll probably ref it.

As we flush out members in our area, we'll see how many people we have, and figure out a spot for a big game. post up events as new threads and let's see who can attend!

Hmm.. the best woodsball games in NoCo right now are the Tunka games, IMO. Check out Tunka.com. It'd be a bit of a drive for you, usually they play in NF land just west of Boulder.. But great players and generally great games.

hmm.. Otherwise, maybe contact Shadow Company.. if you've run into those guys. They host games now and again, usually round Loveland, if I recall.
