Sterling STP barrel threads...

I know the Stock class version uses Spyder threads, but what does a regular vertical STP use?

Spanks! You think if I asked Arrow to swap a Stock Class body for a standard STP they would do it? I want the stock class frame & guts, but a regular body...

isn't it just a question of removing the stock class feed and putting a normal vertical feedneck on it?

according to this:
Arrow Precision Ltd: New Stock class STP

the Stock class STP can have a regular feed mounted on it.

I thought all of the newer Sterling were Spyder threaded & the older ones were Sterling threaded.

I wouldn't bet my life on it, but if I remember correctly the old Sterling STP barrel threads are metric pitch 1.75 which it very closely to 14tpi (14tpi = pitch 1.81).

Not too close i theory it seems. Classic Angel threads are M24x2.0 (pitch is 2.0).
Sadly I don't have any angel barrels to try with.

Back when I had a couple that I was going to rebuild for someone, I had heard the barrels MIGHT swap out. I cant remember is the Sterling barrel fit the Angel or the other way around.

It all depends on how much larger they have made the female threading in the marker body.
I managed to screw in a phantom barrel (Acme stub 14tpi) in my Sterling STP body. I was later told that particular barel was something else before someone turned down the threads to make it fit phantom.
Last week I got an original phantom stock barrel and tried that one in my sterling. It didn't fit too well, but I wouldn't say it refused to thread in.
