I love sterling
I shot a sterling for the first time today. It was amazing. So much smoother than my sniper. I am going to be picking one up in the near future. I know they are huge gas hogs. How can you increase efficiency? thanks guys

I agree, they are awesome. If AP would get their but in gear and fix a few small things and have better customer service it'd be the perfect pump IMO.
You'll get the best efficiency if they are regged and sweetspotted in much the same way as a sniper. Ballpark is around 500-550 psi with stock springing for the best operation. Also make sure the gasket that sits under the valve between the body and frame rail is in place or you'll lose lots of air. That said, unregged I usually get 35 shots off a 12ie so it's not horrible.

i figure the main, and possibly only, reason i don't have a sterling stp stock class is because of that horrid hardline

My Sterling isnt that bad on gas. Given I know it can be better, but I just havent had the time to spend a few hours tuning it. A few weeks ago when we played I could have sworn I got 40 shots from a 12 gram but I wasnt keeping track of paint & 12grams.
Does anyone have an exploded view of an STP?

I would have to agree that they are a nice pump, like the stock on them better then most snipers, and wish AP would do a better job at marketing them, I have heard in the past they where totted as the Cadillac of pumps.
Can't wait to get all my little accessories and projects done on mine.

Cool Beans!! New or old?
I love them as well. Currently building a custom one. Bought a cocker threaded body from ken. Look at my thread in the pump section.
