There is a ridiculous amount of truth in this post.

One Pump Chump
It is not only the forum but also the members in person. This past weekend at fall castle was an amazing event half of the commandos defended the porch the others dicked off on the fields.
The past few weeks in my job had me so stressed and then going to castle cleared it all up.. Check out the picture thread for fall castle and you can see some of the antics.

ahh.. that makes some sense.. like the opposite of cabin fever.
edit: of course: it could just be a case of MCB's mod squad doing their thing.

Cliques or more to the point a lack of fighting between them.
The cliques that do exist are, for the most part, clearly defined. Non-members, members, mods. There are others of course but because noone seems to have to wonder where they are or make themselves seem "popular" and move into the other clique.
When greenies want to vent about actions of others it has, for the most part, been limited out of sight. It has also not been allowed to go on long enough to fester and carry over. Rants and vents get there time but either naturally fall off or are locked. There is a balance act there to allow venting of annoyance but not let frustration build upon itself that is handled fairly well by the mods.

"Use peaceful means where they are appropriate; but where they are not appropriate, do not hesitate to resort to more forceful - Thupten Gyatso (the Dalai Lama, 1932)
"It is not the will to win that matters - everyone has that. It's the will to prepare to win that matters" Coach Paul 'Bear' Bryant.

Summer and fall are always pretty chill around here since most people are playing at that point. Wallets are empty, coolers still full, people covered in paint and the sperm count is low.
I think a lot of it is that things are back to business as usual.
MCB grew pretty quick the last few years. What started as a forum mostly about Boobs, beer, paintball, gear, and ebay started talking about things more contrivercial and heated than Mag vs Cocker and Nelson vs Sheridan (Thats right I put the best ones first )
Politics, color changes on names, cross forum antics/hostility started creeping in and the mods that had, up to this point, been able to earn their keep smacking around scammers and spammers for the most part now needed to regroup and figure out how to deal with the expanding list of problems.
They rallied and started dealing with the problems and that causes an outcry over oppression and more drama.
People have learned what is expected and what is tolerated.

After a few warnings regarding my freedom of speech, I decided to play nice my self.
If you push the wrong button, then you're gonna be dealt with.

THE-SHOOTIST Anyone chubbin' like me for this?
mailmanmike Since Monday! That's more than 4 hours though, so according to those cialis ads I should see my doctor.
tlane77 I think for a non-chemical chubby it's 6 hours before its time to see a doctor. So you should be good for another couple hours.
splattttttt I wasn't goin to google "chubbin" because I assumed it had to do with fat. The lard type, not the fun stuff. But what ever feelings Jeff's experiencing, then they must be of the fun like stuff...
tlane77 He's got a woody for your woods. splattttttt land

LOL, I know what you're talking about thumper.
I think I'm in good standing with most people on the site. I hate to see members who have plenty to contribute get banned for stupid stuff that can easily be adjusted out of their attitudes. Don't take paintball too seriously, guys.
