shipping forum

could we get a little sub forum where we could discuss shipping items. A lot of stuff gets shuttled back and forth around here and i think it would help some of the less informed members. I know i have overpaid to ship boxes out in the past.
maybe we could get a couple of members to write reviews on the different company's. We would have someplace to post tips, like i have learned that usps is generally the cheapest way to ship packages, but one you go over 20lbs DHL usually has better prices.

I second that idear. Might be a good way for people to give a ballpark estimate on shipping.

How about if it has a BIG map in the middle showing ALL of the states in the US as well?
No, I'm not bitter. Really.

I think we should have something like the blue book, but for internet shops and their shipping prices.

It's a thought in process.

Its fairly simple, most domestic items you should ship via USPS. Unless they're heavy, which case you should go thought DHL or UPS. A great feature of USPS is their Click N Ship service. You never have to visit the post office

There are only a few threads about shipping; why would it possibly need an entire subforum?

Shipping places have their prices and users have theirs, the only issue is the difference. I honestly don't see any reasons for a forum dedicated to shipping. It would probably be far better (and easier) to make a shipping FAQ thread and stick it somewhere.

Anything funky large or heavy that wont fit in a flat rate box is way cheaper through fedex ground.

If any master shipper writes it, I will gladly FAQ it somewhere if it is cool with his royal highness of hops.

I might be up for the challenge, unless the op/someone else wants to do it.
