| Talk to mods section. It would be nice to have a talk to mods section. I have questions but I think pm'ing every single mod is needed. With that said, my question is why I got an infraction for profanity but there is a swear filter in place and there is nothing in the posted rules about profanity. When given a reason for the infraction, it was that I violated the rules. These are the rules that I have found: mcarterbrown.com - FAQ Did I miss the rule somewhere pertaining to profanity? Also, I am confused to why I got an infraction when I see other members and even some moderators cuss from time to time. The post I made was in a thread that is now locked and also had 3 other moderators that posted after my post and no action was taken. If the profanity that was said was indeed a violation of the rules as said, why wasn't it address properly at the time ? I'm not "crying" here, I just want to know why. It doesn't really make sense to me at all. Thanks.

 | Yup.. We may need something like that. No, you didn't miss anything in the rules. For the swearing, that wasn't really your fault, I did not have the "swear filter" set up correctly to catch all words, so that was really my bad. I've sent you a PM. Carter

| I have to dissagree, the swear filter, or so I've always thought, was a defense of the site to alter swear words, not a pass on the poster to swear all they want. if the swear filter missed a word I think it's still the fault of the person who typed the word in the first place. as most sites I've been to have rules about avoiding the swear filter.
