Not really much of a suggestion to the board, but a simple sticky for an MCB swap meet...

I know that I have closet full of gear that I'm not actively looking to sell, but I'd probably part with if it meant getting something I needed in return...What are the odds of having a simple trade thread stickied in the BST somewhere? Allow a member to post only once, with items they're got that they're willing to part with, and a list of things they're looking for. The poster would be responsible for keeping their own list current, and all transactions would be handled by PM (I don't know if there's an admin feature that would allow a person to post only once in a thread, but it would be perfect here)

The idea I'm getting at is that there's things that I just don't see it being worth it to sell, but still may be worth something. Example: I've got a NIB pair of eclipse gloves...I really only ever post them in Mass sale threads, but it seems silly to post them alone. After shipping expenses, I might only get a couple of bucks in my PP account. They're more valuable in a spare pocket of my gearbag, in case I tear the ones I really use.

But lets say someone wants those gloves, and has a spectra lense laying around, but doesnt own a flex anymore...well, Jinx owns 3 flexs, constantly eats the floor with his face and has to swap lenses every other week. NOW those gloves aren't so valuable.

Money may or may not come into the deal, but again it's between the buyer and seller to settle privately.

Meh, i don't know...am I way out in left field or would anyone else see a use?
