Once every other day or once every three days might be alright.

If it ended up being a 4 bump limit, I would think people would just make new threads. Which I assume would be worse than re-using the same thread.

I like the rule, but a bit of grey area. Maybe a limit of 4 bumps in a row assuming no price drops / replies. I usually bump maybe once a week and not too many times but I've starting just adding things to an existing sales thread and then bumping it.

Only when I go to look at a new FS thread and see three pages of BUMP or UP.

I too have done the old up but now its just annoying especially on my iPhone which takes days to load a page.
