Stanchy, I have an Arrow Gun, with the bolt forward the paintball is a good .75" behind the barrel. This makes a sized barrel useless since the ball won't be lodged into a freak back until after the shot.

Is there a way you could bore out the area behind the barrel threads so the insert is closer to the breach and have the barrel bored to match this depth? The freak insert would stick out the barrel and into the breach about .75". I can get you exact depth measurements.

The breach section is a block measuring 1" x 1.125" x 5" with the breach drilled directly in the center of the 1x1.125 side.
The barrel is 20" long, round O.D. with no visible runout. Spyder threads.

If there is any way this is a possibility? Please let me know.

I could hold the breech in the mill, end mill down into it

Hold barrel and BORE that on the lathe

Can a freak INSERT SLIDE in the breech as is?
What's the OD of the bolt and does it enter the breech and/or barrel?

The bolt and where it rides is actually a slightly larger outer diamater than the breach and the barrel, so no. The ball falls infront of the bolt, gets pushed up a little ramp and THEN pushed into the barrel when the marker is fired. Truly a poor design. I believe a well placed freak insert can help tremendously with air efficiency.

Here I drew you a picture of what it looks like. These are drawn loosely to scale.

Currently

With insert:

As seen in the picture the insert would be placed just after the "Ramp" in front of the bolt. Extending roughly .8" to .75" out the back of the barrel.
