Not at all. I aimed center point through the scope and what you see is where it hit on the target. This is after I sighted in the scope at that distance mind you. But I did not aim higher to hit at that distance. There is minimal 'lobbing' with the FS at that distance.

Ops gear is one company that has LAPCO make barrels for them just as TA had them do the rifled barrel. However Flasc is a stand alone company who manufacture their own barrels. They do not make barrels for Lapco or visa versa.

If memory serves me right (and I have been known to be wrong from time to time), FLASC's manufacturing is out of China somewhere. LAPCO does make things for both Tiberius Arms and Ops Gear, but I assure you they are not doing the manufacturing for FLASC.

@dunddadun: The rifled barrels were a special request limited run project between Tiberius Arms and LAPCO. The rifled barrel is designed for First Strikes rounds. Are there are lot of people who use Autococker threaded barrels that are breach loading First Strike rounds? That is really interesting about a Freak insert. I wonder if there is enough length on a Freak insert to get enough rotation on the First Strike Round.

Probably the hardest part about rifling is that unlike traditional lead rounds, with the FS rounds, there is probably rotational slippage (due to how easy it is to shear them, as evidenced in smoothbore barrels). So, with that in mind, if you were to design a rifled barrel it needs to be long enough so that you get the desired rate of spin, even with some slippage.

There are sooo many freak bored barrels now, in more than just AC threading. Super Staunchy is even boring tac8.0 barrels for freaks(successfully too). If rifled freaks were made(and they work with their shorter length) they could end up in all kinds of guns!
I could single feed them into my mad pistol by simply changing the pump arm into a bolt action. Cock-Twist bolt and pull out-load FS- replace bolt- fire.
I have also had a blazer barrel bored for freak inserts, and that would be even easier to remove the bolt and add an FS round.

Yikes, rifling a thin insert would push the limits of manufacturing if you ask me...

And more expensive . . . how thick is the wall on a freak insert?

Edit; I suppose that would depend on the bore. How bout what is the O.D.?
