No, its the large chamfer on the front edge that makes the FS bolt different isnt it? It scoops the round up because it fits inside the fin skirt instead of a flat faced cylinder slamming against it and sometimes catching the top of the next round in the mag. I would want to keep that chamfer and concave the face of the bolt so I could shoot first strike and paint without breaking either.

Partially correct. The bolt does not strip rounds out of the magazine like a real gun. The magazine pushes the rounds flush to the top of the breech. The chamfer keeps the round pointing true as the bolt begins to push it forward.

As far as your idea goes, if you dish out the front (flat) face of the FS bolt, it will either be not as deep or as wide as the standard bolt, possibly reducing the effectiveness of the mod.

And thats fine with me so long as it doesnt make anything worse. For 17 bucks I'd send both my bolts out.

Can the inside of the bolt be ported further and polished for increased airflow?

It's just a thin wall so, porting isn't really an option. Polishing is done on these bolts mainly to reduce mechanical friction.

The biggest flow restrictor is the firing pin which can only be polished as it's O.D. is used to seal the fire chamber.

I'm so excited to see my bolt and marker make the picture reel lol. I want it here now so I can hold her in my own hands. The parts look awsome and the window is perfect. Just need a barrel and she is one fine cookie.

Thanks Fixxer
