I wonder what would happen if you taped up the lapco abrrel's porting to save on air?

Have you tried or could you try this set-up with regular paintballs?

i was thinking that too. i bet it would have more pressure behind it to push it through that rifling.

I'm thinking of picking one up with the adaptor to see if length helps.

I see this post was started over 2 years ago but wanted to mention 2 points.

1.
The Hammerhead barrels have a .688 ID. Shooting from a .690 barrel would catch it tad bit movi g from the .690 to the .68i bore and that porting right at that point would potentially bleed off the air pressure you needed to efficiently fire the round at the desired fps.

2.
Hammerhead messed up on the 1st rifle barrels for the T9.1 and was going to use the link and an extension to make up the difference but just sent out new correct length barrels to keep the correct smooth rotation through out the barrel.

You can run the 8.5" Hammerhead pistol barrel and then just use the barrel extension when you need a rifle length setup. That way it is efficient both ways since the barrel extension is a larger bore and will not hurt it's performance. Personally, I just run it small with the buttstock tank to keep things compact and still very accurate at range. The longer Hammerhead barrel will give you a tighter grouping but the difference between the long and short barrel really isn't that big of a difference. These barrels are just awesome!

Also, yes you can shoot regular paint through a Hammerhead, you just need to tune it to your paint. You can read up on tuning on their website.

I've never checked the bore size of my hammerhead barrels, but I'm thinking the Bore is a lil bigger than .688, reason being, my biggest hammerhead sizers/fins are .690 and .693.

I have an old stock Hammer Head Battlestix (before the tips were threaded/removable). I can confirm that the bore is very large. Most FSRs drop through/roll out if I place them in the barrel and point it down. That said, they still rotate as intended. I run without a fin, but I'd expect no issues linking a sensible bore barrel to the massive bore of my HH.
