switching to exclusive FS for my T9

So, after playing with my T9 for a few years, i've decided to run exclusively on First strikes for it.

As my field does allow multiple markers, i'm looking for advice for what to carry as a 2nd gun.
Things to keep in mind: Weight is a factor-light is good
Rate of fire is nice- If I pull this it's because the pucker factor is high
Ammo Capacity- I really don't want to carry alot of extra paint for this, but I have to be able to survive
Compactness - This is a 2ndary weapon, I don't want another full size marker

I've currently got an A5 with e-grip (older), has a TPX barrel and tac cap. Do you all think this will work? Run it on a 4oz or 13cu?

Also, for those of you who reload FS mags on the field, any suggestions? I"m currently using a 'dump pouch' to keep them in and load 3-4 before re-inserting the mag and firing.

For reloading FS on the field:

- 13 first strike rounds fit tightly into a 10-round tube. If you carry 12 in each tube then every 2 tubes can fill 3 mags.
- Use gloves that keep your finger tips and thumb clear of material. Fins on the FS rounds like to snag fabric. If you must use full finger gloves, use something with the leather or leatherette covering on the fingertips.

Let me know if the A5 works for you as a secondary. I was thinking about an a5 with 30-round tac cap and vertical 4oz and sling would make a good secondary for FS play or limited paint play loaner, but I haven't had a chance to try it.

I've just been running with a T8 in a leg holster as backup when I play FS only.

I'd run a 4oz direct to the tombstone, sling up the A5 and just keep some 50rnd pods to load the tac cap with. If you need to use it, you're probably just going to be spraying anyways

Get a T4, then you won't need a second marker

Carry a hopper with you and switch it to hopper mode when you need to?

No need for a second marker.

I agree with LilShank 4oz direct to the tombstone and a one point sling. Q-loader on the top rail would be tight but if you already have a cyclone then a tac cap should keep it nice and compact.

I've got a chaser, but the damn thing breaks at least 1 rd per mag. not happy with it.

I've got a bunch of 30rd tac pods that are perfect for refilling tac caps on an A5. And you are right, if I have to pull the A5, it's spray and pray time.

Switching from FS to regular paint isn't as simple as it looks or is told to be. I have to eject the mag or the FS follower (or 1st FS round) snags. I'm looking to make this 2 separate loadouts.

Now if I ever get that TACAMO test kit, that and 1-2 mags should be about perfect as a backup.

If those kits and the cheap D-Mags are done right I think they are going to have a big impact on rec paintball.

the kingman chasers are crap! teammate had one ... they don't shoot past 250 and since the balls are small everyone thinks you missed them....
they are good for less then 20 feet, nothing farther.
chaser =stay away at all prices
