I wanted to see if there was a noticeable difference in shot count and FPS going from Polished internals to Polished + Dry lube (Graphite based).
Some information about my testing.

• Did not have pre-polished numbers
• The paint I am using is not the greatest
• Crosman 12ies used
• Chrono'd with a tester mag at 275 FPS.

Polished Internals - You can't see but the internal portion of the bolt is polished as is the pin.

So I screwed up the application and will have to remove the Dry Lube and re-apply. Hopefully will have time tonight. If not it will have to wait for the weekend.

That is a LOT of variation in shot speed!! Are all Tibs that bad? I thought they were very consistent!

Also, How many bps were you shooting? 1bps?

I was shooting over my little yellow handheld chrono, would write down the results and then shoot again.... so yeah, 1 BPS.

So far I am happy with the results.
Regarding the FPS spikes, like I stated not the greatest paint and of course as russc pointed out, not horrible for a 12 gram based gun.

Won't get to the dry lube tonight.. looks like you will have to wait until Saturday folks.

from just looking at the graph and ignoring the outliers....its still a +/- of about 40 FPS...thats a lot...I usually get about +/- 15 FPS at the most. What else did you do to your tib?

Trust me, this IS the paint
Nothing else has been done to this gun and with good paint I am usually +/- 10.

I'm going to assume you were shooting indoors? Because I'd be pretty damn impressed at 30 shots this time of year in Ontario lol....

The variation is pretty extreme compared to what I've seen in Tibs, but again, if he's using crappy/sketchy paint that could account for a lot of it.

Oh yes.. that was indoors. Although its not cold here at the moment

Update:

Pulled the reg apart on the gun used for this test and noticed it was gummed up inside. The gun has had a complete tear down, clean and re-lube.
I will try to get a new set of numbers up shortly as well as numbers with the dry lube applied.
