Looking for some input. T8 or T8.1

Ok, so after being Automag only user for 20 some-odd years. I've decided I want to try out pistol play. The wife shot a TPX and liked it, but Tibs seem the best choice to me. Magazine with 12ie in the grip, operates similar to a Mag valve, and I think they look better than the TPX.

However, I can't decide if I would be better off getting a regular T8 to start, (will prolly end up with a pair eventually, hurray for tax refunds!) or if I should just go ahead and pick up the 8.1. Most of the local fields here don't allow first strike, and I didn't really care for them from the few I've had the chance to shoot. Not to mention the price of FS rounds. I'm wondering if the 8.1 is worth the extra price if I'm not shooting FS?

So, if I will be sticking with regular paint, and the only mods I'd be interested in would be freak bored barrel and maybe a comp, do you folks think I'd be better saving a few bucks and buying the reg T8 or spend the extra $$ and get the 8.1? Keep in mind, I'm cheap. We live on a super tight budget, so money is generally my first concern. Interested in your opinions as I have cash in paypal to purchase one just waiting for me to make up my mind.

personally, i like the look of the t8.1 more than a t8, but if money is a factor here, you'll definitely be better off with the t8. I''ve seen some crazy deals. Go with the t8.

If you won't be shooting FS then get the T8's. You can usually pick them up fairly cheap if you keep your eyes peeled.

You'll need to check with super_stanchy, but if you want barrel options like freak bored you might need to go with the 8.1.

The only other big difference the 8.1 offers over the 8.0 is that you can add a out the back remote kit to the 8.1

Otherwise shooting just paint I'm more then happy with 8s.

I am pretty sure Stanchy is freaking both 8 and 8.1 barrels.

Yea un less you want to run First Strikes in both guns. get one of each is also an option. Or even just rock a pair of T8's if you dont think you will use First Strike rounds. To be honest I would go one of each if money is an concern. There are some killer deal's to be had. Even more for green guy's. hint hint.

theres a constant air adapter for the 8.1?

You have to get it directly from tiberius though. You can't get it from any dealer the last time I checked

are you able to run them on hpa, or does it have to be co2 with that mod?
