New Mags Released for 8.1/9.1
Hustle just released this video:

New Tiberius Arms T8.1/T9.1 Magazines released by Tiberius - shipping now at - YouTube

Basically, they feature the mag follower tabs on both sides now, with a redesigned quick changer for the co2 along with a flatter/cleaner base.

Those actually look alright, I didnt watch the video all the way through but any word on price?

PistolRogue 03-19-2013 02:43 AM

I can't watch the vid since youtube is blocked at work, but are they still heavy as ****?

Reloadro 03-19-2013 04:53 PM

well, it seems to me that all they really did with the main body was to add another channel for a second follower. so thats a bit less material. but i think a bit of plastic was added to the base. so i'd guess they are still as heavy as ever.....

I want to get excited about Tiberius' new mags but it seems like they've just given back that which they took away. Perhaps the faithful can just buy the ball pusher and left side to upgrade legacy x.1 mags. I sure hope so.

Man, I was really hoping this would be about airless mags....

Check out this video from FN USA from January 2012 (try to ignore the speaker, he sucks):

The magazine is one of the "new" T8.1 magazines- look closely when the speaker removes the magazine, you can see the slots going all the way through.

EDIT: It also has a magazine bumper (to protect the mag if you should eject and drop it).

Interestingly enough, the FN303P's product page says the mags only hold six shots (maybe because the rounds are heavier, they need a stiffer spring?) and, it says the gun has a "stainless steel firing engine".

Not a plastic "bumper" on the bottom... just a wider metal grip.

I'll have to pull out a scale, but an unscientific ... grab one then the other, they feel heavier then the old ones.

If shooting First Strikes not sure there's much benefit to the new ones. If shooting regular paint though, the second follower makes reloading MUCH nicer.

Wow, great, they pretty much fixed zero real issues with the old magazines.

The only benefit is now people might start selling their single follower mags cheaper so they can buy the newer ones.

I feel like the biggest issue everyone had with them was the follower not locking easily because there was only an opening on one side...which they did fix.

What issues did they miss?
