need help with T8 mag release

Hey guys, just got back from the first field day with a new-to-me t8. Fell out of its holster a couple times and when I went to fire it fired twice then nothing. Brand new co2 cartridge. Of course when I go to check the mag I discover that the mag release has come out at one point. Has anyone dealt with this before? Also how am I suppose to get the mag out at this point? Thanks, im new to TA but im loving it

By "the mag release has come out" do you mean the actual button/slide bit has fallen off!?

Pics are below. I'm not sure what happened. I have a fully loaded mag in there still, fired 2 shots then nothing. Its not dry firing, its not doing anything. I can pull the trigger with no resistance. Its a fresh 12 gram so I'm hesitant to try to take it out while its still pressurized. This gun was a bit abused when I bought it, unknown tool marks etc. Replaced all the orings and it seemed to work fine when I tested it...

looks like it snapped and part of it is still in the grip. Take it out and replace it. Should fix the problem.

Take a screwdriver (flathead preferable) and try to straighten out/knock out the other half of the mag release. Be careful though, the mag being gased up isn't going to do you any favours.

Try to back off the puncture screw on the bottom of the mag to relieve that gas. O-rings and seals are cheaper than eyes.

You could just unscrew the grip-frame assembly from the body and push the trigger pin through. You're going to have to separate these parts to replace the mag release anyway. You'll then be able to see what's going on from the top side.

I discovered I couldn't get the mag release to disengage while it was pressurized anyways so I had to vent the cartridge in the gun. Came out pretty easy after. Thanks for the help everyone!
