| Resident Marker Monger | Careful with the macro and liquid Co2 I had 2 issues with the setup on my 68. First I had a macro blow a bubble in the middle of the line, scared the crap out of me. Second, a macro fitting blew into 2 pieces, whipping the open end around and smacking my thumb. Macro doesn't like liquid. (at least not at 9000 ft elevation)

| I've used a macroline on one of my Montneels. Is actually rather CREEPY to see the liquid co2 travel up the hose, into the gun. I should take a video of it. You wou fire, the liquid brielfy turns "milky white" then back to clear. Creepy is the best word. I don't run like that since I like my eyes. I threw it on just to test something. As for the internal line, microline should be OK? As long as its the stronger 1500psi stuff. Not the junky 500psi stuff that some "pro" shops sell. Definetly avoid the macro though. In the old days, I saw lots of SMG owners replace the internal line with a simple copper pipe. Both internal and external. Not sure if thats safe, but it was a common mod. nick |

I asked Doc about this some time back, he said just use microline. Macro isn't rated high enough, and copper will work harden and crack (not the pressue, a 68's valve floats in the body) I've got 2 68 Spec's that need line and just haven't gotten to it yet. Catchya on the Flip Side..... Emerald Wolf -- & use compression fittings..... | |

| MCB Member | There are different rated macroline. The higher rated ones usually aren't as flexible and the walls are thicker. As for the tube inside, the 69 Special, microline is probably your best bet. I checked in my old parts kit, but I don't have anything for a Tippmann except, Pro-Lite, Pro-Carbine, Pro AM, and Carbine. I could have sworn I had one for the 68 Special and SL-68, but I guess not. You can probably get micro hose from Mike Cassidy at CCI. If he doesn't have it, Clippard probably should also. Just my two cents. |

| If PBsports has any left they should definitly be able to hook you up. I am lucky to have them as my local proshop, I have been doing business with jay(shop owner) for over 17 years now. And not once has that shop ever done me wrong. Good luck. I just called them. They are in stock 11.95 before shipping. This is the full line kit. Pb sports 260-471-4334 |
