Dunno. Since Alpha got the boot I haven't been in touch, but I'm sure if I contacted him he would still be willing to help. Even if that doesn't work, once I do get the conversions off the ground, I'm sure I can get some plastic injection shop to do medium sized runs for a not too ridiculous amount of money.

Short Answer; Maybe?

No, unfortunately.

I haven't had much time for any projects this summer. I got myself an actual job, and while the engineering experience and pay rocks, its eating up all my free time.

The good news is that ive got a nice amount of disposable income. So, once I get a process down, I should have enough disposable cash to throw at a plastic injection shop to make enough clips so that they're not five bucks each. Then ill just sell them off and make some money back.

I've also got an idea for a drum magazine. Not to tease or anything

Remember that players returned their SMG-68 markers for hopper conversion. Unless you deal with the deficiencies, the runs will be limited. Some of the issues were no field velocity adjustments, magazine volume, clip costs, clips reaching the ground held dirt much like picking up dropped paint-balls, and loading time VS shooting time. With competitor markers being faster now, these are now bigger issues. Upgrades are a must.

I ride/drive by this place daily... not sure if they would be able to do what you all are looking for, but if you get to the point that you needed parts (clips etc) they might be able to do the work.

Plastic Extruded Parts - Wire Harness Components

Just a thought.

I hadn't considered extruded pieces. Thank you, I'll keep that in mind, though I may be working with someone on injection molded clips soon.

I suppose I still need a working prototype though . . . Maybe I should get on that . . .

3D hot-wire printing can give pretty good results.

Some guys here in France are trying to create compatible cylinders for Crosman 3357...
maybe an idea for SMG68 clips?

Typically, 3D printing is much more costly for a production run. However, I don't know what " hot wire" printing is. I'll take a look.
