What's the difference between the two?

So basically, a newer TPX with fixes and a TiPX are identical?

Correct information here. Many of the problems with the pierce pin, magazines, and bad internal parts on the TPX, along with with other things got fixed and the TiPX is the merely the improved marker lacking those issues that plagued the TPX on its debut. Now some of the older TPXs that were flawed got fixed up by tippmann as per the warranty because the user sent it in and they got the new internals that are good now. If your looking to buy a TPX either new or used I'd contact Tippmann with the serial number to see if they teched it with the updated parts.

i have both, the trigger feels smoother on the older tpx, it kinda clicks toward the end of it's trael in the tipx, then again, i havent messed with the tipx on the field yet. my tpx has been in and out of tippmann about 6 times now, but it is finally working well. i am guessing that last time, they replaced everything but the shell and remote line adapter.

Another thing I'm curious about is the 12ie puncturing. Does it pucture and shoot on the first trigger pull or is it like a sheridan where the 1st shot puctures the 12 gram but the second shot fires your first ball.
