tpx techt barrel questions

i picked up a tpx and was thinking about upgrading the barrel.
the tpx techt kits ussually run about 145$. they come w/ a short barrel stub for the tip. presumably so you keep the stock length
i can get an a5 kit for 100$
theyre the same threads right? could i jut thread the stock tpx barrel into the a5 techt kit?
i dont care if the barrel sticks out the end a little id actually prefer a longer barrel. if its to long i could cut it off, also i was thinking id put some spriral porting in the portion that sticks out from the body.
or is there another barrel youd recomend?
i see lapco makes a 687 idk why they wouldnt make a 680 or so
is it possible to freak bore the stock barrel?
thanks for the help!

Im not too sure about anything relating to the iFit kits, but Im planning on ordering one of these soon for my TPX, check it out. Python Paintball Compression Kit - TPX
i just play rec games, so accuracy isnt killer to me, but showing little kids that my gun can shoot as far as theirs is incredibly important to me.

The thing with a TPX is the barrel has to fit inside the shroud.

you can't use a regular A5 barrel on them for this reason.

On the page for Pythons TPX barrels they mention this, the reason they made a TPX specific kit is becasue the OD of a regular A5 kit won't fit.

The same may well be true for an iFit kit, I'd definitely ask them first.

Worse comes to worse I'll turn it down our buy the correct back.
Either way I'll post up how it works out
