How many shots can I expect an A5 to get out of a 12 gram?

If I screwed in a 12 gram directly into the marker, how many shots will I be able to get out of a single 12 gram cartridge?

Would it be similar to a Phantom? 35-40 usable shots?

I feel like having a light and compact smg while I still own an A5 :P

Thanks!

I would guesstimate somewhere more in the 20 shot range, if you shoot slow. The 12g will have to cycle the marker as well as fire the shot which will make it less efficient than a phantom.

I would guess less than 10.

The A5 isn't terribly efficient to begin with. You would have the 12ie firing the paintball, cycling the gun and working the feed. Add the volume needed for the lines I don't think you are going to get many shots.

Far less than 20. I've heard reports as low as 6.

Yep. I forgot all about the cyclone. Gas hogs they are.

I forgot that the cyclone feed uses air to work. I was blinded by a lighter set-up with my A5. I was also only thinking of the marker's operating pressure in the comparison lulz.

I'll see how many shots I can get with my Crossmans. I found a box of 12 grams left over back when I was shooting a Phantom.

Polish the internals nicely and you could be surprised. I got 30 shots of a 12 gram on a Tippmann 98 with a cyclone attatched. Last five or so were just barely usable.

If you want to lighten the setup, there's always a 3.5 oz tank.

Ive used this setup before. With the 12g screwed right into the tombstone(no RT) expect around 10-15 usable shots(270ish FPS) before the cyclone stops cycling(this is spacing the shots a bit too). With an R/T I got around 8-12 shots before the cyclone stopped working.
I suggest a 3.5oz screwed into the tombstone. Light and get more gas. The A5 devours it in general so 12ies dont last long at all..even a 3.5oz dies quickly.

How many shots did you see out of the 3.5oz?
