anyone done an M1 GARAND build with a m98?

im considering doing an M1 GARAND build with a model 98 - but want to look as realistic as possible ... ive secured one to use as a model - and a cheap airsoft to canibalize for cosmetic parts - but id be interested to see if anyone has done one and has advice .... the stock i have chosen is an arsenal refinished take off , and should look correct

I have been attempting one with a Tippmann 68 Carbine. I was having issues with moving the trigger group back and slightly down. I got the stock from a Machine gun shoot. Here is a picture of it at this point... However i do remember someone on the MCB that had made one from a 98c. It looked good, i think they used a spoon for the trigger guard.

I did not plan on adding the hand guards... Thought it may be easier to work on and switch barrels without all the extras on top...lol
