And that youtube link above, that is a old "rope" style valve. They were used in 68 carbines only, but had problems and were replaced with the CVX valve, which was used in all the pro-carbs. The cvx was a drop-in upgrade for the 68 carbine, I think it latter became stock for the late models.

Yep this is what I have, an old rope valve.

well while you have it out I would put a cvx valve in instead.

I seen that but I wasn't sure if the valve will be compatible with the standard carbine. The other side of it was I wasn't too sure if I really wanted to spend 30 bucks on an valve while I'm still missing the most important part... hopper adapter. I've been looking and even for the pepperball version. None are found. Which this problem made my gears working and I might do some heavy modding.
