Just picked up one of these bad boys, new out of the box. I had heard to expect about 21 or so shots per C02 12g. I loaded it up and ran about 13 shots through before it started to drop off.
I am using Leland cartridges which I read were the best.
I didn't mess with velocity yet or anything, brand new out of the box, just wanted to hear some thoughts.
velocity MUST be adjusted out of the box (unless you're damn lucky!).
your twelvies might also be in cause (length, inside pressure).
Length is not a real problem anymore, because you can adjust the cap (read that f###### manual ;) ).
We don't see leland in Europe, but changing your twelvie brand can really impact your gun tweakings: a gun may have a 20 shots autonomy @260fps with a brand and go down to 12-14 shots with another brand and the same settings
Of course, external temperature is also something that should be cared about: results may will vary if you are playing in Alaska during winter or in New Mexico in mid summer.
hope that helps...
Without knowing your initial velocity, you're stabbing in the dark as to what your efficiency is. You could be shooting 310 or something and get up to the usual 20ish shots when you drop it to 270-280. I normally run my pistols at 250-260 for efficiency purposes unless the field I'm playing is SUPER open and lacking in bunker coverage.
id assume that it needs to be chrono'd and probably the cold weather is cutting down co2 efficiency. lelands are solid so i wouldnt expect them to be part of the problem
Chrono it to 260-270.
Cold weather sucks for 12 grams.
Thanks all, I did drop down the velocity to about 260ish, and I am must closer to 21 shots, right around 18-19 based on in door testing last night.
Thanks all for the suggestions.
