98 Custom Cyclone Question

Hey everyone,

I'm considering trying to mount a Cyclone to a Factory F/A sometime in the near future and I'm just doing a bit of research into the topic.

What I've found so far is that the 98 Cyclone upgrade you can buy is functionally identical to the one that comes on an A5. The only difference being the adapter plate thingie;

My question to those who shoot or have shot a Cyclone Equipped 98; Did you have any sort of feed problems? I've never heard of people having a problem before, but I figured it was worth looking into. It seems like the extra space that the bracket adds between the breech and the cyclone cup may cause problems.

I can imagine the cyclone loading one ball, and that ball having enough room to not seat completely in the breech because of the extra space of the bracket. I'm not sure if that could cause a problem with breakage or chopping.

I have a 98 rigged with a cyclone and a flatline and have never had a feed issue even using smaller ball which is pretty much a requirement for the flatline to create the backspin.

Only hang up i ever had with the cyclone was i had 2 balls stuck together one in the breech and one out and the markers' A.C.T. kicked in and prevented the chop. Kinda a fluke.

I think you should be good to go with your idea.

Keep us posted on this. F/A's are neat, and a cyclone feed seems to be the only thing they need.
