I also want to draw the geometry for the dual-mode trigger but the one I made by guess & check isn't perfect (it took a number of attempts).

Hi,

Am I seeing the modification correctly? Is that a wire? Can you take a pic of breach at a head on angle?

The main feature of the mod is that it is force fed.

The wire appears to be his method of a ball detent that can handle the pressure from the force feed hopper.

It's a wire designed to stop balls pushing into the squeegee window (not a detent). Credit to mikeds80. You just need to make sure it clears the linkage arm. I still had a break at full auto, but I'm attributing that to crappy paint. I think it would be better to put something cylindrical or a bit of card inside the breach and fill the window with putty, but I want to keep this forward receiver stock for testing purposes.

The built-in detent seems to work well enough as-is, though I guess you could cut a clicky pen spring to make it stronger.

I think I've heard that the rubber band was a common "mod" in this gun's heyday.

I'll give it a shot. I just need to find a barrel now.

Problem with blocking the squeegee port is when a break happens you need that port. Paintballs range from .684" to .694" with most favoring the smaller size. These can result in lower velocities, poor accuracy, and breakage issues in the 68 Special. The optimum size for consistent velocity and accuracy is .692". Charts are available on the net to check the nominal sizes of the brands your field carries for the best selection.
