Why would they want to make it bulletproof? I think it would be cool if it was Carbon fiber, but that would cost a whole lot.

HC, not 100% sure on weight. The shells are a version of plastic, so it doesn't add that much weight overall to the A5 and the weight is carried closer to your shoulder, so it "feels" like less weight than having it out in front of your hand.

I've owned one of these without all of the extras and the weight isn't bad but with all of the extras it's probably a little hefty.
