I had rollback issues on my boxmags where the round would pinch on the feed fingers, fixed it with a similar detent system.I used a small piece of plastic from a water bottle sandwiched between the curved elbow part of the feed and the hopper raceway, maybe you could try something similar by sandwiching them between the body and feed
I bet that would work very well, thin enough it wouldn't impede mounting but would be strong enough to do the job. I think that, combined with some ratcheting mechanism would get this to feed excellently.

I need it to be more like the cyclone, which either feeds a round for that cycle or doesn't. This will continually try to feed until it succeeds, even if the marker has started a firing cycle.

So the plastic bottle is close, real close, but the one I have is too strong. When I use enough length for it to hold the paint properly in the breech, the hopper spring can't feed it in. When I shorten it enough to feed, it doesn't hold the paint in. I am confident though with enough tries and varying sizes this can work.

Spring busted in the hopper, think I'm going to accept it is never going to work right.

I am however considering a new plan of action, converting a Pro-Lite into a Factory F/A, minus the hopper. Thinking a Pro-Lite with power-feed and a force fed hopper would work well with the F/A hydraulics.

Ooh, let us know how that goes, I've always wondered how difficult it would be.

Here is how I use mine. I made an adapter that screws on in place of the hopper. I can then use a q-loader with direct adapter, so the q-pod sits alongside the body. It is about the only good use I've found for a q-loader.

Bummer this didn't work out for you,at least you got a deal and the gun itself works
Could make for a cool Sten magfed project for sure, just got a Zetamag in the mail yesterday, really basic but cool design,it's a good size for scale gun builds, about the same size as a Thompson mag, only problem is its beveled on top and the ball retainer needs to be pushed down and over at the same time,a minor issue I figure I can solve
