A Rotor or a sound activated Halo B should work.
You might be better off fabricating a whole new breech VS the sleeve and bolt mod.

From an old post: .68 special mods

And here is my .68 special with the same style kit installed along with the flip kit. I just have a standard screw instead of the thumb screw.

perfect. Thank you Smiley.

Just for clarification, how think is the brass tubing? Is that regular barrel tubing?

Thinner than barrel tubing.

tymcneer has Thin Wall Barrel Tube -
3/4 (.750) OD x .032 wall (.686 ID) = $12 per foot ($1.00 per inch).

I did this a while back, it's pretty simple and works well. You don't need a sleeve just a wire detent in the squeegee port. It requires constant pressure on the ball stack or you will chop. If you run the loader empty it will popcorn the last few balls, causing a delay in stack pressure which will result in soup. You need a loader that applies constant pressure on the stack. If it uses any kind of sensor to trigger feeding it will react too slowly. The 68 special wasn't designed to feed at modern rates and it certainly wont unless you have a loader that can instantly shove paint into the breech. Mine fed marbs well but I wouldn't trust brittle paint.

Got my automatic 68 special working!
