98c Pistol, 26 shots on 12g

I have already posted this on a tippmann forum, but thought I would share with MCB. This was my first gun and has been a constant project, and this is its current form.

With a stiffer spring in the valve, very close positioning of the ASA, and diy rear velocity adjuster I was able to get 26 shot off one 12g. It was not chrono'd but trust me, they were all good shots except maybe the last 4-5.

It will soon be modded to have a springfeed

tell me what you think

I'm sure it would but very few people have seen it in person, I haven't taken it to the field yet

I'd reinforce the vert adapter. It looks to me that its structure consists of the airline elbows, correct? If you bump that 12 gram changer off something or land hard on the ground I'd tend to think the soft threads of that aluminum valve would pull right out.

I'm diggin' it, cool idea. Looks pretty slick, and a springfeed will be smooooth.

That's pretty cool. I like the A5 grip on it... Is that a different trigger?

Its just locktited for now, until I can think of something that would work/look better

Its a modified A-5 trigger, I just took off some excess material so it would fit right. This gun still uses the old style 98 sear

Wow...

I like it... I've got a Tippmann pistol of my own that's at about the same stage of completion as yours, minus the barrel setup. It's tough to get a good reliable springfeed going, and after looking at yours, I wish I'd gone a different direction with my own setup.

The most interesting part of your design (to me) is the 12g changer, which seems to borrow the style of a Sheridan XTS... I've always much preffered that location for a foregrip, changer, or regulator on a Tippy, which is why I shoot a Nemesis

I like the top cocking and the exposed link rod. But as mentioned above, the 12g changer is just begging to be bumped and snapped off. Maybe you can make some kind of block under the receiver to screw the asa adapter into so it's sturdier.
