I am looking to maybe get a tipx soon, but I first need to know some information. First, how easy is it to change velocity using co2? My field limit is 280. How easy is it to load the mags, is it doable in the field?
And what holster options are there? All I see is tippmann and rap4 general ones.
What mag holder options?
Any better barrels that don't stick out of the gun? I like the clean look.
What is the aftermarket upgrade market like?
Finally, if you had to change one thing(design wise) what would you change on it? Sorry for the basic questions, I couldn't find strsight up answers on google.

Stock all the way. If you get one then play around with it. I love mine in the stock form, with the Tippmann holster and a couple extra mags. Don't mess with the internals as they are perfect in design from the factory, (not to mention aftermarket parts will void your warranty). I run mine as a back-up to my main marker, as well as a primary, no remote coil as I think 3-4 mags worth of paint on one 12g Co2 is good enough.

I agree the tpx is best run stock. Upgrade the barrel if you really can't resist, but you probably will not see an extreme improvement. I run mine at about 250-260 fps.
Loading mags on the field is "doable", but I wouldn't recommend it as a general plan if you can avoid it. Zetas are easier than stock true feeds if that helps.

Upgrades and Mods to the TiPX for it to be a competent shooter for me, in this order:
1: Remote kit (with a PC3x nipple installed vs stock nipple)
3: Extended magazine release of some kind
4: Deburr all plastic flashing from the clamshells (esp. around the grip area)
Upgrades I can abide but don't feel are particularly required:
-FSR Breech Block
-Foregrip if going for a primary setup
-Mock suppressor for balance
-Grip panels or stippling
-Removal of finger grooves from grip
-LAPCO rail barrel shroud for an optic
Upgrading the internals I don't care for much; though if someone were to make a better regulator I'd be curious to check it out. Currently, the stock reg has a hard time with HPA... But I've seen the low-mass bolts do little for velocity or efficiency personally, and I've had tons of problems with low-force springs turning a good shooter into a blubbering idiot-gun... and I've seen a TiPX using both the TechT bolt and spring cause the bolt to break in half while playing... so I stay away from all that mess.
Full disclosure: I Design and make, and sell, the Zetamags and the Extended mag releases from Stark... so... take my word for what you will.
