M-98 build off on the Tippmann Forum

Guys, I just wanted to extend the invite to join a build-off that is going to happen over on the official Tippmann forum. After all, the more entrants you have, the more fun you have!

The price cap is $150 exclusive of tool costs (i.e. we don't make you add in the costs of cut-off wheels or a new set of allen keys, etc) and includes the original marker price if you have to purchase one. I kept the cap low so that the younger college-age guys from the Tippmann forum would be able to compete. The building starts on the first of January, 2008. You may purchase markers and parts prior to then, but no building is to actually take place prior to that time. End date is Feb 28, 2008. Judging will commence the following day. There are a few small prizes (barrels, hoppers, and the like) for the winners. Judges may enter, but may not vote for their own marker. To enter, you'll need to have an account over there (it's free, no annoying e-mails, etc) to be able to post your entry in the Gallery forum. The contest is open to all ages and is aimed at modifying one of the most prolific markers out there.

The official thread is located here:
Tippmann Forum: M-98 Build Off! (Re-Post)

I hope to see some of you over there!

I'd love to see a lot of off-site [Tippmann Forum] participation from this.

I should be in for this one, but it really depends on if I can finish up that SL I've been working on since the end of summer break. I already have enough low-ends I need to get out of my possession. Anyways, I could use a nice reliable back up for some friends to play with.

Looking forward to having you in the competition Yomillio!

I too would love to see a lot of non-TF guys join in on this one. I'm constantly pointing the guys over there towards MCB and other quality sites. It'd be nice to see some more traffic back and forth.

Goldfish, I have a thread going on here in the WTB section that has a lot of $50 '98's on it as well as some good auctions to look at over on the thread at the OTF

Nah, you can take the shipping out. won't count towards the cost. It's a little open as far as costs go, just be a good sportsman about the whole deal.

Can multiple 98's be used for the same gun build?

Not quite sure what you're getting at. Are you talking about making a multi-gun system (a-la scenario set-ups you see)? Or just robbing parts from other 98's to make one uber 98?
