I am looking for a way to cover the rear cocking slot...

I’m looking for a cover that will close the ugly slot were the rear bolt can be seen.... I would like something durable and preferably not made of plastic that is also practical….

Get a piece of copper tubing, cut out a section of it, tap a hole in the side of the reciever, and attach said strip, after painting.

Honestly, plastic, if done right, will look best and hold up just as well.

Some people use JB Weld, but unless done perfectly it most likely won't hold up long-term.

JB Weld works very good and it does hold up long term. All you need to do is put a piece of duct tape on the outside of the gun, then put in JB Weld from the inside of the receiver. Wait for it to fully cure. Take off the tape and sand the outside down smooth. Paint over it and it is like there was never a hole there.

Thats pretty interesting. Most people I know who have tried it have had really nothing more than mediocore luck with doing this. If done properly, I can definitly see it working well though.

One thing I forgot to mention is that you should put in JBWeld slowly and not in one big blob of it. That way, you will not get any bubbles in it and it will be very smooth and solid throughout.

I know TASO made one that fit Spyders, you might check that route.

OR you could just call up tippmann and ask them to send you the cocking-slot cover that they make for the Low Pressure Kit since it goes to a rear-cocking system with the LPK's lightened hammer. It's a strip of plastic that fits into the slot and uses two bolts that screw into compression fittings embedded in the strip. It works quite well.
