I thought he was a cousin, not the son. Dennis Tippmann Jr and Sr are son and father, Ben is a cousin. Or am I thinking of something else...?

He's a cousin. Dennis Tippmann Sr. was the founder, Dennis Tippmann Jr is the current "Tippmann" in charge of the company. Ben worked for them, had a falling out, and broke away to build his own marker line.
