Factory F/A + Flatline?

I have acquired myself a Factory F/A, and I understand they are Pro-Lite compatible, which means A-5 barrel threaded. Anyone ever try putting an A-5 Flatline on one of these? Not sure if it will even fit, let alone function without being too blendery, but long-range full auto just sounds dreamy (for scaring n00bs in the chrono line, anyway).

A-5 flatlines dont have threads, the flatline has a well that seats where the plastic parts where normal threads do, so not without some intricate modifying, not to mention being very careful.

As foughtwolf said the A5 isnt threaded. The a5 actually has a barrel adapter of sorts, that has threads for the barrel. When you add a flatline it replaces the barrel and the adapter. So you cant just add one to an FA. That being said, there have been procarbine flatline conversions, I don't see why you couldn't do an FA flatline. You might want to check out the procarbine owners group, and ask FirstOut if he can pull that off.

An easier solution would be to use an A-5 Apex barrel instead of the flatline. It'd just screw right in.

The Apex is a superior backspin solution in the first place.

Agreed.
And it can just be "turned off" whenever you want.
Very useful.

E-mail "Firstout" he can put a flatline on your Tippmann
Forsale
You can also find info on how to do it on this site
Pro/Carbine Owners Group :: Index

Or you can put an Apex on your barrel like I did.

Thanks all. I'm not screwing with the F/A, they're rare enough as it is and I don't want to butcher one up just to put on a barrel that will add dubious performance benefits.

The Apex idea is good though, I wasn't sure how well those actually worked but if I can get one that's plug'n'play that should work nicely, otherwise I'll probably just throw a J&J ceramic on for ease of cleaning the blender. The package I got came with a pro-carbine forward in addition to the star feed system forward, so I'm thinking about maybe installing that with a QLoader as well, for additional full-auto goon-ery.
