Man, what a PITA. Ok, now how do I get the valve body past the shock links? I was hoping I didn't have to punch out that pin that they pivot on. The power tube / bolt guide seems stuck as well. Clever with the little retainer insert though...never would have found that! Edit: Nevermind, got it, have to flip them backwards. This is a pretty intricate piece of machinery. Now I just need to figure out how to take the damn Star Feed apart, since for some reason it winds backwards. Last edited by Mayvik; 01-10-2008 at 10:27 PM. Reason: I AM THE SMARTEST MAN ALIVE

be carefull with the star feeder when you take it apart. you could accidently cause the spring to come unwound. then your talking about a PITA!!!! to take it apart, put an allen wrench in the bottom bolt and hold it in one hand to keep it from turning. while holding the wrench, reach in the top and unscrew the star feeder with your fingers. it will unscrew, then you can remove the bottom spring housing. be carefull and don't try to remove the bolt from the spring housing!!! also, when you remove the housing there will be 3 small splined dowel pins that will fall out. don't lose them.

Oh yeah, my life sucks now..hahaha. Any tips on how to rewind a coil spring that's fixed at both ends and looks like a metallic version of the Flying Spaghetti Monster? The good news is it was filthy so at least it'll be clean if I ever get it back together.

lol... i told you... if it ain't broke, don't fix it... and you had to take it apart anyway. now that i've rubbed it in a little, i don't have any tips on rewinding the spring. i've never had to do it on one of these but i'm sure it can be done, it'll just be a PITA to do it. wish i could help you better on this one.

| Once it's sprung, you're SOL. I had that problem with a F/A once - called Tippmann, got laughed at, and ordered another spring. That was over 5 years ago, so it's gonna be tough to find another one. Alternatively, with some careful measuring and drilling, you should be able to retro-fit a Cyclone system on it. Someone put an R/T into a Pro-Carbine, so I'd imagine it is possible. Jordan
