| Help fitting a barrel to a Pro Carb I need a little help/advise. I got a 16" Tippmann sniper barrel for my X7 which works great. Barrel is of course threaded to work with the Pro Carb & A5 as well - great. So I'm going with a kit now on my X7 and I decided that I would replace the stock PC barrel with the Tippy. Wrong... As I was aware the grip on the PC is fitted for the stock barrel and since the Tippy is wider at the base its a no go. So here's where I need your help - the way I see it I have a few options: 1. Get a different barrel (don't feel like spending the money) 2. Widen the rear section of the foregrip to fit the back end of the Tippy, semi-permanently attatching it to the barrel, but will still slide (possibly sabatoging the grip's stability for future barrels) 3. Something I haven't thought of yet.... Any help is greatly appreciated!! And here is a visual aid to help... ![]() |

| I hate to say it but you will either have to mod the grip or find a different barrel. unless your doing what I am planing and loosing the for grip and mounting a stick feed to the pro carbine and use a freak barrel.

| I'm ok with modding the grip in some way - I think I'm just more curious if anyone else has done it before, and if so, what they did. Also, were you planning on attaching a separate piece for the fead or just modding/adding onto the grip? |

| I modded my p/c foregrip to fit a python back in there. I just disassembled the foregrip, wrapped some sandpaper around the barrel, and sanded each side until the barrel-back fit. then I smoothed it out with some automotive-grade sand paper. There's really only two parts of the foregrip that you have to sand, the front and the back (if I recall correctly. The middle is pretty hollow. The Lapco Bigshot is a great barrel for the PC and will fit the foregrip without modification (as long as it is the 12" or 14" bigshot). |

| for me to put a stick feed on it I am going to remove the for grip all together. then with an a5 off set rail (sight mount) I will use 1" scope mounts to mount the stick feed (spring fed actually) to the side of the body. there will be a gap between the breach and feed but I will deal with that as I go along. the object for me is for this opperation to be totaly reversable with bolt on parts. I plan on using a rap 4 20 rd springfeed mag.

| Love that stick feed idea aaronlecain - of course that's too much work for me right now lol. Lazy. I'm prob gonna just go with my option two and take the advise for sanding it down. Thanks for the input guys! |

| They make powerfeed adapters that you can still find every once in a while, if you're interested in doing away with the fore-grip all together. You may also be able to find a spare foregrip from someone who converted theirs to power-feed, so you can have one for your new barrel, and one for your stock ones. Modding the foregrip should be easy enough though.

| Also, if you are getting another foregrip: A pretty common mod was to cut off everything but the feedneck and the screw hole from the foregrip (referred to as the combat feed I think). That way you won't have to get a different foregrip every time you get a different sized barrel, and it looks a lot better than the powerfeed adapter. All my old pro-carb links are dead, so I don't have any pictures, but I'll see what I can dig up tomorrow. I think it required a bit more than just a cut, so I'll have to dig around for some instructions as well. [edit] pic here:Another Pro/Carbine... - Paintball Forum - Paintball guns and gear forums [/edit] Course if you prefer the look of the whole foregrip, that won't do anything for you, but it is another option.
