Cyclone Loaders in F/A?

Will Cyclone hoppers fit into a Star Feeder? Thinking I'd like to get a hopper that's a little larger and more streamlined (like one of the low-profile X7 hoppers maybe) for my F/A.

Meh, got an answer on PBN that the answer is NO. So much for that plan.

Really they don't fit, I thought they were the same size. Also I have those hoppers if you need any.

I think they do, actually. A couple years ago my roomate got a F/A and he wanted to try to put my cyclone hopper on, and I am pretty sure it fit, or at least was very close and could go in with very slight modification.

Yeah I have an F/A (the one allfat is talking about) and the holes line up and everything, you could probably modify the velocity adjusting screw to feed to cyclone ram.

Actually Killmaster, I think he is just talking about changing out the hoppers on top of the actual star feeder, not replacing it with a cyclone.

Yeah, I've pretty much decided against that. Star Feed does work, maybe not as effective as a Cyclone, but it works..and it's got that clunky old-school style to it. Maybe if I had F/A with a broken Star Feed I'd consider it just to get the gun working again, but I'd rather just get a right-feed fitting made up and put a Qloader on than hack up a piece of history. Plugging in a new hopper on the other hand is A-OK.

Hrm...so "TippmannEmployee" on PBN may have been wrong? Maybe he's the janitor...lol

I'll have to pull my Feeder off and run to the local shop, I'm sure they have A5 hoppers in stock.

Edit: Yeah..turns out after I asked for clarification, he/she too thought I wanted to replace the Star with a Cyclone, and not just plug a new hopper in. They fit.
