Strange, on my 98C and all my other loaner 98C's, its on the opposite end where the hammer is located:
i was marking roughly where the front of the valve is and you marked roughly where the rear of the valve is. but you were right on the exhaust port its at the rear.

Does an FA run on siphoned co2? if so you might get to much blow back turning the cyclone into a garbage disposal.

Nah, it'll run on regular gas. It's basically just a Pro-Lite with a funky trigger and the hammer delay shock absorber. I suppose if I had to I could throw a Tickler or other small LPR in line as well to keep the pressure manageable, or throw in a stiffer return spring on the piston.

Gotta figure out if the velocity screw is a 10-32, if it is that'll make like a LOT easier. I'll just need to find a hollow 10-32 screw to use for velocity adjustment, cut it short enough that when it's backed out all the way there's enough room to thread a 10-32 -> 1/16" banjo fitting on there, and profit. If all goes well, this could be like a $35 mod!

I don't think it's 10-32, but I beleive its something readily available in as a hollow gas-through screw with a barbed head.

Well the Cyclone came in Saturday. First thing is the F/A has double mounting holes, but the Cyclone only has one. It looks like paint will feed if the aft hole in the receiver is used. Unfortunately the curvature of the receiver is also slightly different, so if the Cyclone is screwed in tight, the paddles actually stick on the aft section of the hole in the receiver. I need to rig up a little 3/16" or so shim to put in between the Cyclone body and the receiver.

The velocity screw definitely isn't 10-32. I'd call Tippmann and ask but I have a feeling no one there will know, maybe I'll post in the official Tippmann forum and see if anyone there has a screw chart.

1/4" fine is the threading on the velocity screw I believe.

Thanks!

1/4" fine being what dimension on the threads? I see 1/4" 20, 28, and 80 on McMaster-Carr?

From the Tippmann Forum (for Pro-Lite)

Velocity adjustment bolt - 1/4-28 thd, 3/4" length set screw

Not easy to find, and I'm gonna have a hard time finding a banjo fitting that size too.

Yes sir, I did! Fits perfectly, although you have to sand the "nubbin" down a little bit because there's no hole on the Star Feeder like on the Cyclone.
